Top Dead Center - Question 787- setting RV

All the videos I see talk about number 1 cylinder at its highest point.
No mention of the stroke it's on.
This was taken apart and now assembling, all stock.
Does it matter what stroke the piston is at, I always thought TDC was compression stroke, but that was on cars.

It's a 2-stroke so every stroke is a compression stroke.

The Front is the MAG cylinder or #1.
