instead of going around and actually sizing up all of the important bolts and hex keys on the ski i figured i would just ask you guys.. the "professionals".

i want to put together a small tool box consisting of rachets and sockets and anything else that may come in handy if im stuck on the water in the middle of no where... i have a couple extra spark plugs and of course some oil but what size sockets do you guys bring out with you ?? screwdrivers? zip ties?

zipties yes
phillips and flat head
spark plug ratchet
10 mm socket for sure.
pair of pliers /needle nose maybe and a wire cutter
hex (forget what size) for removing airbox if its stock.

Where would you keep all that in an x4 hull??? Matty you forgot the most important tool..... a collapsible oar!!!! LOL!! Seriously i keep one in mine. I got it from wallyworld. :)

Duck tape. You could slow a leak in a hose or pipe enough to get home. You could also put a temp patch on a hull hole if your lanyard comes off in a less forgiving corner(ha-ha). How bout a rope? Every Seadoo I have gets a paddle in it for sure. You gotta have that charged cell phone and someone close to you knowing your ride plan.

good point man, maybe ill duct tape a tool set to the underside of the storage bin hahah, a collapsible oar isnt a bad idea at all i like it !! i know im going to be taking a few more chances with this thing this year and go out a little further then usual... just want to be as prepared as possible

plenty of room in the storage tubes for the extingquisher, rope, lots of tools and some cold beverages... and a pair of flip flops and my go pro, i fill my storage bin up to the top lol
and ya, the 13mm wouldn't hurt, thats a good idea.
i had assumed rope was a given...

Matt, that's genius, you wouldn't happen to be from KY originally? Something you never hear in KY, "Duck tape won't fix that".

that there duck tape is also the ultimate baby sitter if the wife leaves ya with the yungin when ya wanna take the ski out.250817,xcitefun-duct-tape12.jpg

you should carry some type of hose pincher to pinch off the intake hose incase you need to be towed.

There's stuff called "rescue tape" it self-vulcanizes to itself. A polymer of sorts. (comes in Sea Doo yellow and blue) :thumbsup:4 wheelers know how it is to get stuck in the middle of godknowswhere. YES a collapsible paddle is good! I used a flip flop one time; was slow going....I then bought a paddle
