Took on water

I fell of my ski today, and in an attempt to get back on, I filled the hull up with water. I read in another post to turn the ski upside down and let the water drain out. Can I suspend the ski from the front and rear hooks to do this. Will they break?

Well, it was from Lake Erie, so the term "fresh" is relative

I'm a little scared.

Well, I unscrewed the drain plug from the crank case and turned it over without the spark plugs to remove most of the water. Turning it 90 degrees wasn't an option tonight. In the morning I'm going to hook it to my dad's tractor to flip it. Hopefully, little water will come out. The icing on the cake is that I was so mad about the ski, I walked into the lake to load the damn thing with my phone in my pocket. It doesn't run now either.
