My throttles dont seem to be in sync when throttling up, one side has to be farther forward than the other..except at idle and WOT. So whats the easiest way to fix this?

Mine does that too.

I just twist my hand inward a bit to advance one throttle a bit more, you can hear when they are "Singing" in perfect harmony so you don't even need to look at the guages.

If you adjust the throttle linkages then they are probably not going to align at other speeds, but may be worth a try.

You do not want to adjust the needles and change the engine richness to match rpms as it may mess up your engine tune.
However, if the engine is not in tune properly that would be the first thing to do and see where the throttle quandrant harmony ends up after that.

All you can do is to take the flame arrestors off... and make sure your carbs are fully opened, when the throttle levers are at full. You don't want your cables to bind, or else you will break one.

Then set the idle on each engine.

If you do that... they should be close at any mid-setting... but they won't be perfect. (that's why they give you 2 throttle levers) If they ran together all the time... they would have put both cables on one lever.

Good points. I'll try what you said here doc...I guess what the problem is, or what it seems like it is...is one cables has a lil more slack than the other. I wanted to see if there was adjustment to close the gap. They idle just fine...1,500 rpms in water, 3,000 rpms out the water, and at WOT on water they run 7,000 rpms. Its anywhere in the middle they are off.

There's an adjustment screw on the thottle cables in the engine bay at least on mine, I assume it's there so you can sync the rpms..

Yeah I belive I seen a throttle adjustment somewhere in the forward control microfinch..the cable tensioner maybe a lil loose

Seadoobie,

Let me know what your top speed is when you get to it, we have the same boat model.

I got mine up to 45mph on the speedo with about 375 lbs of people and cargo aboard and 30 gals fuel.

I'll GPS it next time I'm out.
