Thought it might have been the fuel lines, but I'm getting very little spark 98 gtx l

Ripped through and replace all fuel lines in my 98 gtx limited, cleaned carbs etc. Put all back together, go. To fire it up. Nothing. I finally get it running which took for ever and it runs like crap, won't idle, back fires sputters etc. Finally checked the spark and it's very minimal. So that explains why I can get it going after a ton of tries.

Looked in the box by the batt, not water or anything, I am not home with my shop manual, so I figured some one might know what's up. Imam wondering if the cdi crapped out up from or if I have a loose or broken wire some where. Any suggestions?

try pulling the plug wires out of the boot and cutting them back 1/2"
