I am so torn on this.. I really want to get a pwc to have some fun with.. Just want something on the side that wont kill the wallet.. I was thinking of get a brand new pwc but that will run around 6500 plus tax and dealer fees and all that.. Now I am looking at 2 used units.. One is a 2002 GTX DI that a dealership wants 4000.. I think I can get them down a bit but still need a trailer.. The last one, which I am leaning towards, is a 1996 GSX.. The pwc looks very clean and they have all the service records available.. Asking price is very high.. 2600.. I believe NADA is like 1500 with trailer.. I am willing to pay more for a pwc that has been well maintained but not sure about that much extra.. here is a link to the unit I am looking at.. Let me know what you guys think.. Not many used units for sale around here..

Well I just purchased a 1995 XP with a double trailer for $800 and a 1998 GTX Limited with a single trailer for $900

Both look sharp but were running poorly due to disintegrating gray fuel hoses - cleaned the carbs/replaced hoses on the XP for $30 and on the GTX for $40 - so that gives you some idea of the prices that they are fetching in the current economy.

I'd never buy a ski unseen and untested unless I budgeted for a complete rebuild.

Personally I'd never touch a DI - stick with carbs as they are a lot easier and cheaper to work on with basic tools - the DI/RFI motors need some fancy test equipment to help diagnose.

Thanks sounds like a good deal if no motor work needed. Sell the single trailer and get some money back.
Sounds about right or it was free.
