:rant:What, if anyone knows, is the correct ratio of fuel to oil for the 787s?

I know it's not recomended and I also know that I am going against Timmyboy's advice, sorry, of fixing the oil injection system right. In my defence, I looked at the half-ass "fix" that the last owner of my boat did to the oil-injection system. All of the lines leading into the oil pump have been clamped and the injection lines to the cylinder have been removed and plugged. The block still has it's input/output lines connected.

I talked to the previous owner and he told me that he premixed and just blindly added oil to the fuel. I cannot afford the money/time to fix the issue now, or w/in the next year or so, but as always I am open to suggestions and appreiciate advice. And if I need another slap in the face, I guess I'll take it like a man, eat my words, and ... well Timmy you know I just sucked it up.

Thank you all...

no worries...

only/main concern I read, is the "oil injection lines" being blocked off. there needs to be one line going to the rv assy..(the big oil line that DOES NOT have the inline filter.

You should, remove the 2-allen bolts hold'n the injection pump to the mag cover, then pull back the pump to expose a white shaft. Remove that shaft, then afix the pump again. then you "successfully" went to premixing now, at 40/1...16oz oil to 5gal fuel.

The RV line needs to be there, if not, you'll strip the brass gear, with no oil, and if thats the case, dont think you'll be call'n the previous owner, but have ur buddy, throw up your booking #, so we can send some cash on ur books for commisary...cuz, I see the smackdown happen'n...

Hmmm...

:agree:As much as that sounds like a pain, I'll do it to make sure its gone. Normally I would assume such but I no longer trust the prev owner, nor his mechanic. I still need to put oil in the resivoir too right? The motors do seem to burn/leak/circulate/whatever oil, since oil does "dissappear" from the resivoir.

BTW I still think, no matter how much I spend (time/money) repairing it, I stole the boat. Bought it a month ago for $2500, tax, tag, title, new alum trailer, included. I think the prev owner was sick of the BS coming from his douche of a mechanic.(sorry, for lack of a better word)

Thank You...the shopman couldn't help on that one. your awsome Timmy!!!
