I seem to be having the same problem that Aaron 5555 is having to much oil in the front cylinder is there another reason that would cause this problem than the crankshaft? thank you all

Try adjusting the oil pump, I had a mechanic adjust it and it is a good starting point to narrow down to the problem.

If you still get oil, crankshaft seal would be worth a look. I found this post on this forum which was helpful.

Dear Aaron5555 thank you and ever one else for helping with my problems with my 1997 After checking the oil pump and electrical (battery, cables) it seems to be the seal on the crank shaft. to big a job!I think I'll just sell the machine as is. Lots of luck with your machine the cat
