So I started some on my 787 build for my 97 GSX tonight. I pulled the rotary shaft and changed the seal and inspected the bearings, and installed the new Hot Rods crank and the balance shaft. This will be my first build so Im going to go step by step on here as a source for info for others like me and as a way for the experienced members here to be able to fill in advice and "watch out for" info. One thing, i know there is a timing of the crank and balance shaft, but I cant seem to get that perfect alignment. Below is a pic of the best scenario I got. Hows this look?

I will keep posting pics. And progress reports as I move forward. Wish me Luck!!

rotate the C/B 1 tooth c.c,. From the pick, you'll see the "dot", on the C/B, above the "knotch"

So Im going to ask a question about the CB shaft. Everything bearing wise seems great, and the gear is like new, but before I bolt everything up I'm concerned about the seals.
How often do the double seals start to leak on them? I don't have to big a problem with dropping $60 on a SBT reman. shaft with new seals if I need to, but if it's not a area that is problematic than I'll use it as is.
What has your experience been??

Oh, and I dropped off the cylinders to get bored (to the size I was told they'd be when I bought them) and a week later they are sitting in the exact same spot. I told them I wasn't in to big of a rush. Mistake!
