Hi, I recently bought a pair of 2005 GTXs, one NA and one supercharged. I have done some troubleshooting and verified the TOPS valve/solenoid is bad on the NA machine, stuck in the "closed" position. It is causing high crank case pressure and limp mode. I ordered a new valve but it will not be here for a few weeks, and we really want to get on the water. I know the main purpose of the valve is to close in the event of a rollover, so water does not get in the engine nor oil out. Is that the ONLY purpose? Can I temporarily remove the discs on the valve to bypass it until the new one comes in? I do understand there's a slight risk with doing this in the event of a turnover, but really think we will be ok for one or two outings, we basically just cruise out to the sandbar and will only have a single rider on it with little additional weight/luggage.

Thanks for any input. And feel free to express your opinion if this is a terrible idea lol.

The switch is normally off and it’s function is to prevent oil from dumping out in the event of a rollover and then removing power to the fuel injectors to shut down the engine. Just don’t tip it over.
