Ok, everything back together, runs great with mix down the carbs...but doesn't seem to be getting fuel. After all the troubleshooting on fuel delivery, here is what I found.....

When I take the hose off of the intake port on the carb and hook a clean hose up to it, I can't blow through it...total resistance. To make matters worse, the other carb does the same thing. I removed the return line to make sure the resistance wasn't coming from a blockage there. It seems as thought the blockage is certainly in the carbs themselves.

So, what have I done wrong? What would keep air from passing through? The needle stuck or something? I feel like such a bonehead, I've obviously done something wrong even though I tried to follow the steps for the carb rebuild exactly.

Thanks in advance for any advice :willy_nilly:

UPDATE!!!

I didn't realize that when I tested the mag carb I still had the output hooked up to the pto carb...when I took that off I WAS able to blow through the input on the MAG carb easily...however I still can't blow throught the PTO input...I can barely hear a little air going through, but it should be easy like the mag carb right???

UPDATE2

OK, took the carbs back off...I found a piece of trash that was blocking the output on the pto carb...cleaned it out and was then able to blow through it, although there was more resistance than on the mag carb. Put it all back together, but I'm still not getting fuel to the carbs...

If i attach a hose connected to a funnel to the input and put mix in it, it still won't start, and it doesn't seem like its pulling the fuel in from the funnel. I'm thinking fuel pump issues...

Hey sorry about your problems, I am kinda going threw the same thing. mine will start but die soon after. I replaced all my fuel lines, and cleaned the entire fuel system, and nothing changed, i have had the carbs off twice now. I have noticed on mine the pto spark plug looks leaner than the mag plug, so after tearing my carbs down again i am noticing the my pto carb doesnt have much fuel in it compared to my mag carb when tearing it down, so that is what im looking into to being my problem. if i figure it out i will get back to you.
