TAS - Testing

14' Sea-Doo Spark

Issue: can't get over 2500rpm
3 fault codes related to TAS

Checking to see if the sensor is bad: What pins on the sensor do I measure resistance?

If you're back probing on the steering wire harness connector that feeds the sensor, you're checking the wiring, correct? How is that checking the sensor? I would think that if you're not getting power to the sensor the problem would be elsewhere

Did you download a repair manual? I don't work on the 4-stroke skis but they are essentially the same just more electronics. On the earlier skis you remove the pin connector (large one) and go to the numbered locations to connect your probes. Some sensors also have a voltage value in addition to resistance. Is the battery fully charged. I'd check voltage on the battery with the machine running. Voltage should increase. If it doesn't look at the rectifer or charging system. You may not have a sensor issue.
