i just bought boat it needed supercharger rebuilt so dealer fixed it got it back with code po562 and low voltage light on and ideas thanks
Did these issues exist prior to the dealer repair? If not, I would be back at their door asking for some support.
Low volts can be a few things but the rectifier is a common failure item.
no it wasnt issue before repair is there way to test these things dealer is an 2hr drive hate keep going back
it read 11.7 when i checked it earlier when i reved it didnt change think it actually went down a little i think im going check it againI need to look the code up to see what it is. Voltage is easy to determine. Start the ski, put a meter on the battery. Should be upper 12 volts at idle, as high as 14 volts if you rev the engine. If you get this, then remove all cables and clean the ends and put them back on using dielectric grease.

is there way to test and see what one it is this is on a challenger boat not sure if that makes it easier or harder to installNo need to double check, you have low volts.. It can be a stator or a rectifier assuming all fuses are good. Stator is no fun to change, rectifier is easy. From all I have read don't buy a cheap one, they don't last. Also, if you install one, I STRONGLY suggest you run a separate ground wire as the ground is picked up via a mounting bolt and it is poor at best. Many are melted on the backside once they fail. Easy to see the melted part once it is removed. I would run a ground from the battery or the block to the mounting bolt. Sand the area where the bolt contacts the rectifier as it is a painted surface.
Let me ping LouDoo. He may know the specific test. Lou, so you don't have to read it all. How to test to see if it is the rectifier or the stator?
The stator is no fun to replace and the rectifier fails often. So the odds are it is the rectifier.[/QUOT. Took boat out today and ran good from what I could tell does that help narrow it down

Could have a poor connection at the battery, any of the grounds, at the rectifier ect ect... Hard to fix something when it is no longer broken... Sadly, until you have an issue it will be hard to know what to do.
If it were mine, I'd remove every main cable, clean the ends, put it back together with dielectric grease. Open the e-box (Electrical box) and remove all wires, clean and reinstall with dielectric grease.. Eliminate a poor connection issue.
do these boats have a rectifier or it a regulator or is it both . any idea were it is or what it looks like. also nect to battery have a box with a 3 prong plug for an extension cord any idea what thats for why would some thing get plugged in
i ordered a used rectifier i will try it if its bad il have dealership order new one . anyone know what the 3 way cord hanging off the battery is it looks like u plug an extension cord into it'I need to confirm what I am about to say, but I believe they are one in the same. The rectifier is what regulates the voltage output.
