L loslobo New Member Jun 24, 2010 #1 I have a 96 seadoo sp and was riding it with no problems when I turned it off to let another rider on it. When I tried to start it again it wouldnt turn over. It just cranks and cranks. What could be wrong?

Dr Honda Well-Known Member Jun 24, 2010 #2 your wording is a little strange..... "it wont turn over" and then "it cranks and cranks" is contradictory in my mind. So... is the engins spinning, and it just wont start? Or... is it not spinning at all?

L loslobo New Member Jun 24, 2010 #3 the starter is spinning the engine it just wont start. I tried new spark plugs but that didnt work.
Dr Honda Well-Known Member Jun 24, 2010 #4 did you check for spark? If it has spark... check the compression. If it has compression, give it a shot of starter fluid and see if it fires. If it starts, Clean the carbs. If it doesn't start... check the rotary valve.
