Just did a complete swap of a 951 DI engine from one ski to another. Everything worked perfectly in the other ski. Body was in bad shape so I put everything into a new body. Only thing I did not change is exhaust and gauges. I went from a 2001 GTX to a 2003 GTX.
All wires, mpem, electrical box, engine and fuel pump were changed from one ski to the other.
Since the swap was done I had two wires crossed which kept the ski in Drowned mode. Fixed that and it finally started. I got the two beeps when plugging in the DESS then one 2 second beep. This beep occurred before the ski was started. it would start but would not rev above idle.
I thought I had low fuel pressure but checked that the 2 second long beep meant it was in limp mode. The 2 second beep would also happen every minute when I had ski running on the hose.
I have checked everything and cannot figure out why it is in limp mode.
I changed computer
I changed rectifier
I changed fuel pump
I changed heat sensor
I checked all fuses and all plugs.
Still in limp mode.
I do not believe it is a mechanical issue since it goes into limp mode just by plugging in the key and never touching the start button.
I have spent two days now trying t figure this out.
Any and all help would be appreciated before I tear all my hair out on this one.
