I have a '97 sportster I posted about a while back, I've taken care of the minor troubles but it is still have running issues. A local boat shop went through the carbs and fuel system and the engine seems to run good, fires right up and revs okay. The poblem is that it won't go over 10mph, at low speeds below about 1/2 throttle it seems to be okay but when you push the throttle beyonbd 1/2 way it feels like it's going to take off and then the engine revs high and starts cutting out (rev limiter I assume?) but the boat doesn't go any faster, like a clutch slipping in a car.
I know very little about jet boats but really want to get this straightened out so I can use the boat, so any and all help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
