hi guys i need some help again . i have 1993 seadoo explorer that has a broken steering cable.the oem part # i believe is 277 000 283 , my local dealer can't get any under this part # and also here in the parts section it lists it as obsolete. is there an aftermarket # or a new oem # to cross reference it to or will a cable from something else work.. it kinda looks like an pto cable used in machinery applications.. thanks for any help you can give..Rick

Kind of sux that Seadoo doesn’t support the older boats. (even mine)

Anyway… Since seadoo didn’t make too many of the parts on the boat… you will find that you can replace it with a moris (sp?) cable. Just pull it out, measure it, figure out what ends you need, and order one. So yes… you are right… it’s just a sealed, industrial cable.

thanks for the quick reply . I really apreciate you and others like you on this site being here for us do it yourselfers..as for a "moris (sp?)" what do you mean ?? thanks RICK
