my steering cable had broke. i bought a new one from SBT. i had installed it, it broke. i put more threds in it put it back in. it broke again today. its always breaking in the sameplace; were it screws into the steering block in the handle bars. the jet ski is a 1996 sea doo GSX 787.
will some one tell me what to do?
thanks

Is there some drag or resistance at the steering nozzle? Did you clean or replace the bushings on the nozzle? Did SBT warranty your cable? Try a WSM cable or get an OEM.

i did try to adjust it so the prop and the steering novel were both straight. but it almost seems as if the last owner played with it because i had to cut the cable because there was not enough threads to adjust it

it has some resistance on it. could i have screwed the block in to tight? not allowing it to go to all the angles when turning? it only breaks in a left turn; when it has more pressure on the cable
