Hey guys pulled the stator today. Tested fine. I swear the other day when I ohm tested the stator from the three yellow wires in the grey box it was getting 19.8 ohms that’s why I pulled stator. So now that I’ve tested everything and it checks out ok what would cause the battery to get warm just sitting connected??? Could the new rectifier I put in be bad right from the get go? Overcharging battery way to much?

Well, disconnect the rectifier and see what happens. If the battery doesn't get hot I would suspect the rec, it's possible it's bad

Thank you Dan. I am all bent out of shape about this thing. I spent a lot of time checking the stator yesterday to have it check out fine but check out bad the other day. It’s all back together and I did new oil lines while I had the cover off. I’m going to pick up a flush kit today so o can start on hose and bleed injection system then test battery voltage at 5500 rpm and see what rectifier is doing. Maybe a diode went bad already. Now would it be better to do an original oem rectifier off eBay for $35 or order one of osd marine for $25?

Don't buy a used one on ebay. Try yours with the red wire unplugged and see if the problem goes away first.
