Well, got my stator back from Impros. The repair looks good. Put the stator back on the boat, got ready to screw the plug in the stator to "hold" in the lube and the plug hole is stripped. Not too bad, just bad enough the plug won't thread straight.:banghead: It appears the previous person over tightened the plug. What size is the hole? Looking at the parts schematic, it says the bolt is .250-18. I'm not sure what this means. I know it is aluminum, so I'm hoping a tap might do the trick, but I wanted to check here first. Thanks.
