Why in the world would sea doo use a screw driver head bolt for the stator coils. I had to drill head off to remove the coils. Has anyone used a traditional style bolt to replace these? Are they like that for clearance issues? Does anyone know the thread pitch n length for these bolts i don't wanna have to order them from my dealer. They are special order and i wanna play this holiday weekend.

there the blue ones in this pic

Although this advice is too late I thought that I should check to see if you are aware of the impact drivers to remove screws like the ones you encountered here. The impact driver is quite cheap.

You hit it with a hammer and it shocks the screws and will loosen one that using a conventional screwdriver on will result in stripped heads.

I would be looking for an allen head bolt that you can use an allen wrench on. The outside diameter of the head is typically less than a bolt. In Canada places like Canadian tire have them. Northern Tool in the USA should be a good supplier.

If you have removed the remains of the screws, take them with you and try them in metric nuts to identify the diamter and thread pitch you need and then find matching Allen bolts. Use of the wrong Loctite can make removal difficult. Red Loctite often needs to be heated to free up the threads. Blue (medium strength) is much more forgiving.

Hope these comments are helpful.

dude to totally forgot about that tool. I still thing they should shoot the guy who designed that. I only drilled the two for the top one. so i went out and bought a impact screwdriver was like 14 bucks at orileys. I heated it up with a heat gun to break the lock tite bond then sprayed it. It didnt seem to loosten up. so i let it cool off. Then i tried again. I was able to get the one out the other fk'in broke ugh..... so i have 3 broke off in the plate. My dad is gonna see if one of the tool makers can get it out and retap it. this all sucks.... was hoping to have it done for the holiday.
does anyone have a wire chart that shows what wires go where on this thing from coil to coil to plugs. or can some one sketch one out on paint. im pretty sure i know but just to be sure....

well got it all re tapped and its nice and good to go. other coil should be here tuesday. then im gonna solder it all together.... and one have any tips or anything special 2 look for or do when putting this back together?

Use blue locktite on all the threads. Things mounted inside the stator cover tend to vibrate loose.
