I am new to this forum but not new to engine work, but I am baffled by this problem. I have a 99 Speedster Sk with 781 engines. I am having some kind of electrical problem with one of the engines. I can start the right engine just fine but when I go to start the left engine "Click". Thought it might be the solenoid so I bridged that to bypass it and still the same click. Pulled the plugs. and it spins over, I can put the compression tester on one cylinder and leave the other plug out and it spins over. 150 pounds of compression. It does seem that there is a lot of oil in the engine when I spin it without the plugs. Any help would be great.

I'd guess that it's hydrolocked. Too much oil in the cylinder is causing the engine to freeze during cranking. Take the plugs out and crank it until the oil is out of the pistons. (put a rag over the plug holes or oil will spray everywhere) Then try it again

i am having that exact same problem!!!!! exactly the same, no doubt about it, i have my left engine running pretty good and when i try to start my driver side, i get a few clicks like it trying to turn over but seems like it doesnt have enough battery to get it going. aswell as when i pull the plugs out it seems like i have excess oil sitting in there. keep in touch with my please and ill let you know if i find anything out aswell
