Stainless Steel WSM Wear Ring for 04 S200?

Has anyone tried the stainless steel WSM wear ring #003-503S? I am hoping the stainless steel liner would keep the plastic pumps from getting out of round.

You want plastic for a reason. It is there to give a little. You go putting stainless in there and other parts are going to take the brunt of sucking rocks and debris in.

also for the $150-200, I would rather buy 4 or 5 plastic rings.
