Stainless Steel Clamps

How long do you typically get out of your stainless steel hose clamps? I ask this because the only 2 times my ski broke down this past year was due to a stainless clamp breaking off on 2 separate occasions. I think I have learned my lesson on keeping an eye on them.

I personally have not seen stainless clamps break at the band itself. Seems to me the ones labeled stainless that you get at auto parts stores have stainless bands and rustable material in the screw mechanism.

I would recommend getting the clamps from a marine hardware store to insure they are all stainless.
