SS Wear Ring

Does anyone have a trick to removing wear ring from pump. I tried the freezer method no go.

I have two identical 2007 RXPs. One of them popped right out with the freezer method. The other one would not budge. I used a saws-all to cut the wear ring. But you have to be super careful to not cut into the jet cone. I cut probably 90% of the way through the plastic wear ring and then used a wood chisel to finish it.

Yes that would work . If it was a plastic wear ring , it is a stainless steel wear ring.
