Sportster hood

I just bought a 1996 Sportster and am new to the forum and owning a boat. I want to do some upgrades. The first one is to replace the hood with a newer style that has the side view mirrors. Any body know what other model/year will fit or even one off a jet ski? Thanks

You can use any of the mid to late 90's X4 hull hoods. if you want mirrors, you can use the hoof from a mid 90's XP. it will bolt right on.

'98 Just bought a new hood - Couple of things to know

I have a '98 Sportster 1800. The one I got was a little different than the one that was original to the boat. It was superceded by a newer model. It did fit - hinges in the same place, but the hook? that the latch locks onto is not in the right place. I'm going to have to relocate it to make the latch work. Shouldn't be a big deal. Also, where my '98 hood was a single piece, the one I was sent appears to have a place for some sort of windshield to snap in... since I wasn't expecting a different hood, I didn't order that part.

Having said that - the new shiny hood sure does look nice
