I am wondering what is the difference in the engines on the 96' SPI and 95' SPX ? In addition to the carbs... what else is in there that gives them all that extra HP?

The SP/SPI was always a 580. The 95 SPX is the 650X engine, the SPX is always the previous year XP. 1996 SPX had 720, 1997-1999 SPX is 787.

Ah ha. So the SPX has a bigger engine. I gave one of those away recently and it ran. LOL Of course, it was given to me so I asked if it was OK to give to my cousin. That thing has a lot more power than the SPI.

Just wait till you try a 787. You are going to say it was worth the time and money invested with the Smiles per hour.

That will be 4 jet skis and my cousin is giving me another 96 GTX which will make it 5. :) I love em' all. :D :D

Did some pump checks today, installed the wear ring, fixed up the impeller and the damaged venturi section.
