speedster upgrade

I have had a 97 speedster for 10 years now. time to upgrade. thinking of 2005 or newer 20' speedster. i am debating on smaller vs. larger engine & what owners reviews are. are there any major differences between 2005-2007 models? I appreciate any feedback.

For what it's worth I got mine last year. We intended or were looking at the newer Challenger 180's. Saw mine in the Viper Red and had to have it.

My boat has the twin 215's which requires a bit more maintenance with the twin superchargers. That is going to cost you extra $$$ for sure. There is the issue with the ceramic washers on the years your looking at that you need to make yourself aware of as well . It didn't scare me away though. I will be getting the upgrade before the season starts. Self insurance if you will.

I'm a HP guy and the more the merrier. You can't go wrong if you're looking at that size boat. I will tell you it absolutely flies and it handles like it is on rails. I / We drive it like we stole it each time we are in it. I can comfortably fit 3-4 kids and 2-3 adults. Plenty of storage. We have used it for fishing and just cruising around.
