I am not new to boating, however I am new to boat ownership. I recently purchased a 16 foot 2004 speedster, with the 240 mercury. Boat is in great shape, runs amazing and is tons of fun. The issue though, is the trailer. I didn’t notice it when I bought it, but the crossmembers are almost completely rusted out. The bottom and both sides of the square tubing is rusted through and cracked. Only the top of the tubing is keeping it together. On both of the crossmembers supporting the bunks. I’m going to do some welding and fabrication on them to hopefully get me by for the summer, but does anyone know where I can find a replacement trailer, or replacement cross members? Or are there other boat trailers out there that would work for this boat??? I don’t want to be driving down the road have the boat end up on the road!!! Any help would be amazing. Thank you!
