Newbie question here- I have been offered a ('96-'98?) Speedster and trailer for free in exchange for hauling it away. The craft has been sitting uncovered for approximately 2-3 years and has not been started during that time. The exterior is moldly, interior filled with leaves, and I believe someone may have attempted some repairs on the engine before everything was parked (per owner.) Does this thing sound salvageable, or best left alone? Sorry for the ignorance. I'm a car guy, just tough to pass up a free deal. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Yep, get it. who knows, maybe it will take a few hours to clean up and get running, and you'd be into a cool boat for nothing.

free stuff is the best stuff. worst case scenerio is you haul it to the dump... or perhaps it would make a great red neck yard ordiment? ive been givein things like outboard engines that sat for years though and had them running in a couple hours! you never know. :agree:

You can sell the MPEM alone for like $600.....free money.

Does it have the front cushion? If so i'll buy it from you if it's in good condition. =D

If you do part it out and it is a 97 or newer - I need the cooler cover on the port side in front of the rear facing seat.
Let us know what you decide to do.

Sounds Like a LOT of Trouble to me
Infact , Out of the Kindness of My Heart
Just give me the Address and I will Relieve you of all that Trouble and I will take that Painfull trip to go get it Just you you can get a glass of Tea instead

What did you end up doing?
I forgot - I need the rub rail insert too in addition to the cooler cover.
Let me know if you do part it out.
