Speedometer - your work?

I've got a '94 Speedster, and the speedometer doesn't work. I've talked with several people, including a parts dealer that fixes sea doo's, and they all seem to have the same response -

"Those things never work!"

Well, has this been your experience too? Anyone have any great fixes?

I'd appreciate any help or ideas!

i two have the same problem..If you do a search here on the site there is alot of Helpful reason/Fixes as to why and OUR Problem

If the paddle wheel sensor on the back of the boat is damaged or missing, that is the first matter to resolve. Then work your way up the wiring harness towards the gauge.
