Speedo question???

OK I took the speedo out of the GTX parts ski, and it has 3 wires, and my GTI has 2 wires. Is the 3rd wire on the GTX the water temp sensor wire? 2 out of the 3 wires match the color of my GTI.

Yes, that is correct. If it had temp sensor that would be the wire for that.
