Speed Sensor problems

The speedos(both analog and Digial) on my 97 GTX were not working so I used the speed sensor off my 96 XP that I know was working. Still have no luck with either of the speedos on my GTX. is there something else I can check?

i dont know what you mean by sensor but on the back of the seadoo by the jet pump twords the bottom of the seadoo there is kind of like a gear looking wheel in a housing that spins with the water. there could be a rock or stick jammed in there.

That is what I'm calling the Sensor/pick up. I have already replaced it. everything else on the info meter works. Hours, compass.... Speed, Avg. speed and Odometer dont.

May be a loose connection at fuel/oil gauge. Bill

the fuel/oil gauge is part of the same gauge. come to think of it I'm not sure that the oil level was showing on it either
