Has anyone tried any alternative spark plugs in their seadoos? I know most call for NGKs. There is a spark plug with diamond head technology E3 premium sport plug. I found them at pep boys and Wal-Mart. The 3.31 in older seadoos and 3.36 size in newer seadoos. I used them in my Honda Aquatrax and they worked great.

The best plugs for our skis are the standard plug. They're is nothing to gain by these fancy plugs in our machines. The ignition is very basic on them. Guys have tried them and had problems with them.

Yep, the best plug is the standard old copper core plug... There isn’t anything to be gained by using any of the multi-strap plugs, and I’d argue that even the iridium plugs aren’t worth the additional cost. You can get three standard plugs for the cost of one iridium plug, and the only benefit is they are slightly more resistant to fouling.

Been running standard plugs in any toys I own for the last 35 years. You will gain nothing with a "fancy" plug.

Hey fellow riders thanks for the info on spark plugs. I will stick to the Og'$ and not mess with any high performance plug in my Seadoo. Found out some bad news today. My 97 GTI is going to need an engine. Would not turn over, seized. It's in great condition. Should I put another motor in it? Was going to sell is for 500. I think salt water seized it.

Are you sure the motor is actually seized? Did you pull the pump off and try to turn it over with the plugs out?

Yes got the starter to turn but engine didnt its stuck. Won't turn no compression. Do you think it could be something else? Was flipped in saltwater last September. Guy I bought it from said he flushed it afterwards. I bought about it about a month ago with same year Gts that runs great on double trailer for 1000. So I did get a good deal that's why I bought it. I got a buyer already with the blown motor for 500. I will get half of my money back still Disappointed but still weighing all of my options because it's not a total loss if I dump it!

I don’t know what you meant there... The starter turned, but the engine didn’t? Did you remove the jet pump and try to rotate the engine with the spark plugs out of it? It’s possible that the pump is locked up, and that is not allowing the engine to turn. If you remove it and the engine turns over, it’s a pump problem. If it’s still not turning at all, it’s an engine problem...

The engine was frozen wouldn't turn at all. So I sold it to a jet ski shop here in California for $500. Here's the situation I got a super deal. A 97 Gti and Gts with covers for a $1000 with double trailer. The guy l bought it from flipped the GTI in the Ocean so that's what I think froze the engine. Didn't flush properly with marine salt cleaner. Just used water. I got half my money back and a big head ache gone that would of cost me money. Low on funds so didn't want to invest money on it. Im happy with GTS, motor looks brand new after I cleaned it up with super clean and a water hose. The oil and gas tanks are super clean with no stains or damage. The Gts has 150 and 148 psi on the pressure. I have a 2004 Honda Aquatrax R12 also (pictured in my avatar)20200505_101518.jpg20200505_101518.jpg20200427_185402.jpgloom so i just put it on the double trailer next to The Gts.
