Spark plug wires for 2000 GTS

There is no reason to replace the plug wires unless they are mechanically damaged. The plugs should be replaced but not the wires. It’s not like a tuneup on a car.

I had to replace mine... In my case the wires had been trimmed so far back they couldn't go anymore or they wouldn't reach the plugs.

You're looking for 7mm bulk spark plug wire, you cut it to length. I'm not sure where you are but any place that sells recreational vehicle parts should have it.

Mikidymac is right though, other than making sure you have decent copper on the ends (trim back 1/4") there's no reason to change them.

I just bought new spark plugs and already installed those, just figure I'd replace the wires as well. I'll try starting it up without replacing the wires. Any other suggestions on things to check since it's been sitting for 4-5 years? Engine and all components looking almost new, surprisingly.

You should rebuild the fuel system including new fuel hoses, selector, filter and rebuild carbs with only Genuine Mikuni parts.
Change the oil in the pump and inspect impeller and wear ring.
Verify the correct API-TC oil is in it and change injection oil filter. Green or Blue oil is wrong and bad.

On a ski that has been sitting the fuel gums up everything. I guarantee it needs to be done.
Haw can I tell? Because I have been working on these for over 25 years.
