Hi Everyone,

Has anyone ever installed a sound system on a seadoo before. Are there any kits that you can buy with amp and speakers or do you piece the individual parts to make one?

I know the Kawasaki's come with this standard but they seem to be the only one doing it.

Thanks

Someone local to me did. He put 4 6" speakers I think in it with a Bluetooth receiver to stream from his phone. I think it would be difficult to keep the speakers dry

Marine and outdoor speakers have composite cones made of plastic materials as opposed to the paper or cardboard type you typically find designed specifically for indoor use.

Some boats are fitted by the factory with custom audio systems, more so now than ever before. I'm not sure if the later Seadoos were or are.

I guess you're likely to discover you'll need to piece a system together in this case, and cutting the holes in good locations must be planned carefully of course. One thing to know is it often helps to read how to cut these and how to properly brace the backside by cementing a block of wood onto the back side using an epoxy putty such as JB Weld or simply a thin epoxy resin mixed with the activator then sawdust to the consistency of peanut butter.

I'm big on cementing wooden blocks onto the back side of the fiberglass laminate to take the screws and weight of the head unit, rigging depth finders and all other types of deck accessories.

3M 5200 polyurethane is also an excellent VERY PERMANENT adhesive once cured (about a week!!! :O) dynamite cannot remove. May as well use epoxy if cure time is an issue.
