Solenoid fuse blowing

So we were on the lake the other day and the ski was working fine until my dad put in a different dess key and then all of the electrics stopped working and he was stranded. We took the ski home and checked the battery and it was measuring 12 volts. We then looked at the starter solenoid and saw that the 15 amp fuse had blown. After that we took out the rectifier and replaced it but still it is shorting and that is where we are at now. The model is a 2000 Sea-Doo GTI 717.

I hope someone can get back to me on this
