Is there supposed to be some Smoke in Challenger Engine Compartment??

I have been working on this boat and have it running but there is smoke in the engine compartment and it gets some water in the hull as well. Also, the oil hose from the tank to the pump got against something and burned a hole it. It dumped all the oil in the hull. I drained all I could out but for some reason, the drain holes are an inch above the bottom of the hull (WHY) Any ideas on cleaning this out?

Thanks

Can you see where the smoke is coming from? Possibly a bad exhaust gasket. That could cause both your problems.

Aaron:cheers:

Mix Purple degreaser available at Walmart $5 a gal. with Hot water, toss in hull, then pull on trailor around town awhile. Pull rear drain(s), tilt nose up and rinse out with a garden hose. Just 2 cents.

Purple Power is good stuff !!!!

Thanks Guys....I will try the purple stuff. Looks like smoke may be coming from when the oil hose got against the exaust and burned a hole in it. I ran it today and the smoke wasn't as bad. ZI still having trouble with it opening up. When I get up to speed and make a sharp turn it wants to cut out again.
