Trying to figure out if I have a problem with the Rectifier. I'm not getting a rise in voltage when I rev the ski a bit on the 1997 GTI. I've checked resistance on the Rectifier on the other skis and I got 3 skis all with different readings. I'm gonna get to it in the morning but just curious about the battery voltage with the engine running and revving. I would expect to see more but I'm only getting a couple of tenths rise. Just wondering if the rectifier determines how much the battery gets. BAttery is HOT so it surely doesn't need any charge. Dunno why I love this shiznet but ah do. :D

You need to rev the engine to at least 4,500rpm and should be about 13.5 volts.

Your battery should never be hot. If it is you have a problem.
