ski is hitting rev limiter and sputtering out of the hole

Out on the lake right now with 155 SE. Friend is riding it saying it only does it out of the hole. Once it plains our its fine. That's full throttle out of the hole. Almost or 3/4 throttle doesn't do it. Any ideas what's going on.

Probably just getting water by the impeller at full throttle. Wear ring would be my first guess.

Does anyone know the pitch of a stock impeller for a 2007 gti se 155. Ill replace it with a solas or something while I'm in there. Is it hard to replace and I thought I saw I may need a tool to get the impeller off.

Found the pitch.

Anyone know how hard it is to change the wear ring? Doesn't look complex but you never know once you get in there.

If nothing is seized, you can pull the pump off pretty easily. If it doesn't want to come off don't force it because then you can run the risk of ripping the crank seals out of the back of the motor. seadoo makes a tool that holds the shaft so that doesn't happen. Check SBT out they have core exchange on OEM impellers for $60 bucks.

Well since were talking about this, will the impeller off my gtx fit my gti? If so u can just switch that and only buy one for my gtx. From what I have seen the pitch is more on the gtx, and I think the gti was like 10/19.

yes they are diffrent, GTI is usually the de-tuned family model ski so it will have a less agressive pitch. Plus there not supercharged i just suggested it as a cheap alternative insted of spending $300 on a solas impeller. Just my opinion...
