Does anyone know where I can buy a Swirl impeller here in Canada? I have sent a few e-mails to online suppliers etc. and no response for what ever reason??? Its for my '96 challenger.I'm looking for 14.5"/22.5" for my boat to help to get to plane faster. Or a 17"/22" Swirl

I have the 96 Challenger, and contacted Dave at Impros, and he hooked me up with a kickazz impeller that pops me out of the hole, pulls my 200 lb wakboarding butt, etc. Lost an mph off the top end, but not missing it at all.

You should be able to contact them at www.impros.com

Ask for dave, and ask about the Swirl impeller for your boat. I think it is a 16/22, but not sure.

Impros sent me a special pitch impeller, had some issues with pricing.Dave said he will make it right. No further comments at this time

WOW! I was able to call several times during the week, and asked for Dave, and if he didn't immediately answer, he called back within the hour.

Then, he said he had 2 rebuilt ones on the shelf, one he said was "as good as new" and said "I won't even let you buy a new one, this one is as good and it will save you $60." I said GO, gave him my card number, and had it home in 5 days, installed over the weekend.

Flawless transaction.

Was yours an "over the border" issue or just a one-time fluke mistake?

Hey Lee,

What Impeller did you get? I've got a 04 Sportster 4-tec and find it tough to get up on plane. Did it help alot? Should I change it as part of a wear ring replacement? Whatelse would I need to replace?

Thanks from a fellow Canadian transplanted to Florida so that I can ride year-round.

Good luck with Dave at Impros. Just received my order from impros yesterday, the only thing I received that was the promised price was the impeller tool. He added $30 to the swirl ,said skat charged him for "special pitch" .Told me the wear ring was $39 ,Iwas billed $60. I had him send it USPS to save money,he added $54 shipping . I asked him to email me the order form after I gave him my VISA #. He emailed back - Thanks for your order- I called and emailed him several times with no answer. Finally after emailling him and telling him that I know of other buyers looking for a swirl,he emailed back with a tracking # I didn't know what I paid till I received the package.

I was going to email him and give him a chance to make things right before I spouted off on this forum, but when I saw your thread I just had to say something. I tired of getting ripped off ordering across the border!:boxing_smiley:

That sucks...

I got a 16/24 swirl in mint condition for 150 plus shipping if anyone needs one... :)

calming down

Scooper, Iwas answering your post when the phone rang,It was Dave,He apologised for the confusion and said he will make it right.I have been misinformed by at least 3 US companies in the past in regards to purchasing their products.Nothing against Americans ,I love you guys:cheers:

kenm, I am changing the imp, wear ring as we speak.I'll let you guys know how it performs shortly:) When I pulled out the wear ring it was destroyed from chewing up sticks and rocks. The impeller had some nicks but the outer edges looked fine.I could have probably used it again.I'm sure my lack of acceleration was the wear ring. I thought I would try the swirl and hope for a quicker holeshot:)
