I just replaced a hose clamp and added all new coolant. I took it out and it ran fine, but every so often I would stop just to check the coolant level. The coolant level was fine, but I could hear a slight sizzling sound coming from the engine. I don't remember ever hearing that in the past. I could not see anything leaking and the engine temperature was fine.

Any thoughts?

Could be you are hearing some small air bubbles making their way out of the system. The engine cooling system is pressurized just like your car. That is a pressure cap on top of the coolant tank so be careful if you remove it and the engine is warm.

Dennis,

I took the cap off yesterday while the engine was hot with a large towel, but there was nothing at all that came out. I would assume meaning no pressure. Could the sizzling noise be a small leak somewhere within the coolant system? I will have to keep an eye on the level when I take it out again.

Really appreciate your input!
