Siphon Tubes 1999 GSX Limited

I read multiple posts on this topic (image attached) and I was wondering if anyone knows about the length of these siphon tubes in the jet nozzle.

So I ordered 271000338 and it came but it is shorter than the siphon tube in there. Think it will still work the same or does the length need to match?

They need to be long. If they are too short or missing they will pump water into the ski instead of pulling it out.
