I bought a 15 year old 94 GTS with about 40 hours on it if you could believe it. Suffers from lack of use. I bought it last fall and it ran like a champ for 6 uses. I winterized it, fuel stabilizer etc and garage kept it. Ran it 3 times this year and yesterday the Bogging started after an hour of use - surging etc. I came across the how to rebuild carbs on this site - and yes I have the gray fuel lines - so like I said 15 years of fuel lying in them - I'm guessing they are junk.
1st question - should I jump into the carb rebuild ? or just do the Inline filter, fuel lines and carb filter
2nd - I just put in 8 gallons of new fuel - 5 gallons left - could this new few have been contamainated ? Do I need to toss the new fuel ? I've never seen a fuel recirculated system - fuel actually gets sent back to the tank ?
Either way I'm buying a carb kit, new fuel filter, lines, clamps, etc - should I be doing anything else before jumping into the carb rebuild - for example how many have you found just the inline filter bad ????
Any recommendations would be appreciated
Thanks
