Like many others posting here, I have had problems with manifold studs/bolts shearing and loosening on my 2004 GTS.
So here's my simple question....
I identified the problem early this year. The manifold is loose, and I took on a little water.
From the bilge of the boat, I retrieved the washer and nut from the stud. One bolt is loose, with washer in place. The two other corner positions on the manifold (both away from the engine) are empty. I can find no other bolts/washers in the bilge.
The stupid question.... On the engine diagram provided by SeaDoo and all parts sites I have checked, the replacement bolt (part #207383060 M8 x 30 Hex Screw) is only in one location. The diagram only shows the stud and 1 bolt.
I can't imagine that the manifold is held on by only 1 stud and 1 bolt. I ASSUME I am supposed to use 3 of the Hex Screws/washers at the 3 corners of the manifold (the stud is at the fourth corner).
Correct???
