Ses rebuild journey

Come aling a journey with SES and my 951. Sent multiple pictures and was told 4 week turnaround. I'm located in Ontario Canada.

Was sold the rebuilt from top to bottom. Lol.

30 min riding, checked compression due to loss of power. 64/120 psi.
Rebuild kits are aost the same price as SES so gave them a try. I was going to go with 5 star PWC, but Tom's knowledge and constant communication sold me.

Nice rebuilt engine. 5hrs on it. Lmao repaint and new gaskets to make it look pretty.

Shipped July 10th same day I paid on ses website. Arrived and received July 13th. He's covering return shipping to Canada, that helps.

Communication was on July 26 just confirming things are going to plan. I was estimated 4 weeks after sending numerous pictures of core. July 13 so August 10th I'm hoping it will be done.

I’m just curious about the back story here. What happened to the motor you had before the rebuilt one from SES? Did it lose compression in the same cylinder?

I lost power after buying and riding for approximately 1hr. Did a compression test, I believe it was detention.

not overly familiar with detonation I believe it’s when the fuel combusts too early? Some causes can be using to hot of a plug or to high of compression. Anyways good luck with the new engine

Sounds like you never fixed the root cause that destroyed the first engine

A lean carburation condition caused my problem. The pto became starved for fuel, but only had air, heated that cylinder to the point lubrication oils dissapated.

Filter was clogged with pieces of broken grey hose pieces.
