Hi guys,

We bought our first seadoo (2017 rxt300) last August. We only put four hours on the machine before we winterized and put it away for the winter.
I just got the spring maintenance done and had the spark plugs replaced. The service shop said the oil change wasn't necessary since it only had four hours put on and was bought in August (practically new). I just wanted to get your opinion and if you think it would be fine to just get the oil changed end of season in October 2018 now.

Also wondering if anyone knows what that 10 hour service entails that is mentioned in the owners manual and if it's required. Thank you

Your safest bet is to change the oil after each season. This gets any moisture, acids and crap in the oil out for the storage period and is fresh for the next season.

I think he was asking if it's OK to run the current oil until the end of this season considering he changed the oil at 4 hours instead of at the 10 hour mark. I could be wrong.

Did you ask your dealer this question? This one is best left to them due to the impact on your warranty.

Not to hijack your thread but what is this 10 hour service you speak of? I've read the owner's manual front to back and I see nothing about a 10 hr service needed. Maybe something to do with your supercharger? I don't have one (2017 GTI 155 SE). In fact, I don't even see anything about a 50 hr oil change like some in here mention. Just the regular scheduled 100 hr oil change, etc.

I'm approaching 10 hrs and done my break in period and don't want to screw it up.

I was told the same thing when we bought out sea doo from dealer it’s like the break in oil change or something

So all my jetski friends are asking me if i need to do any maintenance after the break-in period but I don't see any mention of any thing to be done before 50 hours (or was it 100). Should I change the oil now? I just got 10 hours on it, and I don't want to take any chances.
