I just replaced the ECU on my 2008 GTI. I'm able to start it and run it but it run poorly and the dash flashes sensor 5 times and then reads_ _ _ o F. Does anyone know what that means? Thanks for any help I get.

Has the ECU been programmed to the ski? If not you need to take it to the dealer and have them flash it to work with the rest of the ski.

Also what led to the conclusion that the ECU was bad?

When I run my ski out of the water my depth finder puts that on the dash when the sensor can't get a reading.. I believe the ECU has to be coded to see the depth finder sensor. Possibly your new ECU needs to be coded?

Regarding the rough running - are you getting any error codes when you do the 5x mode button?

Dealer checked it and the ECU was bad. After I replaced the ECU I had the old keys reprogrammed to the new ECU.

I don't have a mode button if I get any codes the automatically come up. I'll talk to the dealer to see if I have to have it set to the machine. You would have thought that they would have said something to me when they programmed the key. They know I just replaced the ECU
