Semi Synthetic Oil on S/C

I took my 07 215hp S/C in today for 10 hour service and they asked if i wanted to use semi synthetic oil, I said I was under the impression that anything but mineral oil would damage the s/c. They told me there was a bulletin from BRP saying that they could. Any comments. (BTW I told them only mineral oil as per the topics on this forum)

change your ceramic washer to metal ones and use amsoil marine 10w-40. It was made for the SC seadoo's and amsoil says its safe to use with the ceramic washer but you should still put new metal ones in. Oh and if you change the oil your self and buy the new washers youll spend about the same as paying the dealer to change just the oil.
