Seadoo xp 717 runs for 30 secs and shuts off

Hey Guys,

Ok so I sold a set of carbs for the 95' xp and he installed them, runs for 30 seconds and then shuts off. I cleaned and rebuilt the carbs and did pressure test on them and they were fine. I put them back in the ski before I sold them and the ski ran ( until the oil injection line broke and cooked the top end :-( I didnt see it till it was to late....So any reason why this would happen? It sounds electrical to me but you guys would know better than me

Any help would be great. trying to help the guy out. Ill give him a refund if needed but he needs the carbs.......

What did the ski do with the old carbs? Same issue? Could have a bad lanyard switch so if it's a 95 bypass the switch and see if it runs longer since 95's are usually non-DESS

Hey Thanks for the reply..... Im not sure what the problem was before he bought the carbs from me. I will ask him and let him know what you said........ Thanks for the help !!!
